RENTAL PROPERTY

COMRIE

This original Lodge house had been converted into a lovely little holiday rental and was in need of an equally charming garden.

Surrounded by towering conifers, an imposing fence, and an old summerhouse, the garden felt dark and oppressive. To transform the space, I stripped out the garden, levelled the terrain, and opened up the space to create a fresh, inviting environment for guests to enjoy.

Maintaining a sense of privacy from the driveway and main house was essential. To achieve this, I bordered the garden with beech hedging and added structural small trees. In front of the hedge, I created a meadow to blend the garden into the surrounding landscape. The borders surrounding the hard landscaping were then filled with soft, flowing planting, establishing a relaxing country feel.
